Växbo Lin
It is here in Växbo that the best-maintained environment, recalling the old days of flax processing, is still to be found. The small huts and mills in Trolldalen are a reminder of the farmers' and peasants use of the waterpower available.
The Växbo Lin company was established in 1989, based on old traditions and this unique cultural heritage.
Today, Växbo Lin, the only operating flax spinning mill in Sweden, has a complete production line for spinning of long-fibred flax.
After the first few years, operating only as a spinning mill, the enterprise expanded to include the weaving of high quality linen textiles.
By re-establishing flax processing in Växbo, century-old knowledge and traditions have been handed down to new generations, and what had originally been regarded as an optimistic vision, has become a working reality.
